My story
Episode 3
Good morning! Welcome to a very rainy day here in my neck of the woods. I'm always grateful for the rain, although I prefer it to stay outside. After the installation of solar panels on my roof, there seems to be a large hole up there, which is letting a torrent of water into my lounge.
We wait for the repairman to come, in three days or so, once the rain has stopped. Towels and cardboard...
My grandson is here for the holidays and, since we are stuck inside for now, I'm looking around for children's story books to read to him - or for him to read - and I found a few in my cupboard, but at the moment he prefers playing games on my phone...
So I went online and had a look at some books for myself. I didn't find anything that I love, the books I fancy are not that readily available through the usual channels. But I did find a nice diary for next year...
Just the right size to take with you in your handbag or briefcase, it can be personalised with your own name.

Even though the weather is keeping us inside for now, there is plenty to do. I started my day with Shacharit prayers online with a friend and will be heading to an online Torah study with another friend in a few minutes. This is week we have a double portion - Chukat-Balak. To make things easier for us as online students, we use the readings from Chabad.org with the Rashi commentary activated.
No matter which way you choose to study Torah, we can really recommend studying the Torah with a friend. You learn much more together than on your own - which is exactly what Pirkei Avot advises us!
Have a happy day :)
Sorry we had to miss it today, but that little nefesh comes before our study. And as I said, the internet is knit one slip one today due to strong wind.
ReplyDeleteThanks for understanding. That little Nefesh is like 6! xx
