31st December 2025

As we close this year, I am very blessed to have been able to do the last lunch of 2025 with my mom, my twin girls and their men today. We sat outside and, although it was hot, we were grateful to be together and also for the light breezes that passed over us occasionally.

When I got home, I ate some more biscuits, had something cold to drink and sat down to pray Mincha, which I had missed at 3 with my friends. It's my daily gift to HaShem, so even if I pray it alone, I endeavour to pray it every day.

After saying Grace after Meals, I went onto the Chabad website to look for any Parashah teachings by my favourite Torah teacher, Rabbi Yehoshuah Gordon, may his memory be a blessing.

I found so much more than I thought I would! He has a teaching on each and every aliyah on each Torah portion! What a gift I've been given.

I first found this Rabbi's teachings when I was looking for engaging videos on Rambam's Mishneh Torah. He is a master teacher and has such an amazing sense of humour, which he freely incorporates into his classes, that even the driest piece of text comes alive when he teaches it!

These teaching videos are freely available on the Chabad website: chabad.org

And here is the link:

I feel like I've just been handed a treasure! I think I shall spend the evening watching some of these videos.

May 2026 - which contains the number of God's Name - 26 - be full of blessings from on High for you and yours.
