My story

Episode 9

Erev tov! This past week has been very busy, what with school holidays and my beloved grandson spending time with me.

Something else I discovered this week was a local lass, Zoe Long, who makes organic sourdough bread. For someone (me!) who has tried repeatedly to create her own sourdough starter, which keeps on dying, this is a gem of a find. She even delivers locally. You can find her here: https://www.facebook.com/zoelong02

I ordered my first loaf last week and ate it with my Lacto-fermented Red Onions - What a wonderful taste combo! You can place your order for Lacto-fermented red onions with me

Apart from a healthy and tasteful week, it has been such a blessing to spend days with my gorgeous grandson. The mind of an 8-year-old is so full of wonder and magic. Together we have made homemade pizza, written out the Torah portion, prayed the prayers at various times of the day and fallen asleep to the sounds of audio Scriptures.

He decided to spend the night at home because he missed his house. I will see him bright and early in the morning for another day of joyful adventure. I'm so thankful to Adonai that I can be such a big part of his little life.

Though there are many things in my diary that have gone undone while he has been here, I am happy to catch up next week when schools go back. I will never have the July school holidays with my 8-year-old grandson again. Next year he will be 9. Already this year, he is telling me isn't little anymore and I can no longer get away with kissing him all day long. What else will have fallen by next year? We should make the most of enjoying them while they are little, as time goes WAY too quickly.

As I settle in for a very cold, yet cozy, evening - we have snow in various parts of the country, which is giving us freezing weather! - I'm grateful to ADONAI for all He has blessed me with. A grandson that loves me, a quiver full of (adult) children and friends all over the world.
