JOY!
My heart is overflowing with absolute joy and thankfulness to the Only One, Giver of Life to the worlds!
While Juan-Dre was still here my mom fell and hit her head, had a brain-bleed and was in ICU for more than a week. She improved to the point where she was sent to a general ward, but her confused condition made us all heartsore.
BUT, today! She was SO lucid when I went tosee her this morning. I love her very much. She is stubborn though, and knows what she wants. She was brushing her teeth by herself when I walked in and I began to assist her as I saw that she was struggling to manage properly. She didn't want me to do that, please don't do this, please give me the other, and No! I don't want that! It was so good to see her mind working coherently - but the nurses were getting a run for their money - she buzzed the nurses twice to please bring her tea, and she ended up with 2 teapots! She does so love her tea.
One of my cousins went later and she messaged us to say they were making a pot of tea - with 5 teabags!
I left after about 2 hours, during which time she had so many visitors that the doctor just looked in and walked away! I went from the one side of the hospital to the other, up and down in lifts, to search for her phone, her handbag, her cream, her shampoo, etc, etc. I fed her lunch and I was so pleased that she ate so much. She even ate beans, which she normally won't touch. Finished her chicken, she did. Oh, I am so thankful to God.
One of my daughters went to see her in the early afternoon, and she was sleeping. The nurses asked her please not to wake her up - probably because of the hectic morning she had provided! The nurses there are looking after her so well. They are so kind.
So when I phoned my grandson to pray at 7.15pm tonight, I told him I had good news - he had seen my mom lying in the casualty the day she was admitted and was so distressed by it that he couldn't even look at her, only touched her hand while looking at the floor - that Gran-Gran was much better.
His response?
"That's GREAT news! Not just good news!"
My 9-year-old marvel!
As Hanukkah approaches, Abba is already sending miracles - and we haven't even lit the first candle! Yeshua HaMashiach - the Light of the world!
